More Rotator Cuff Facts:

The rotator cuff is a shallow 'ball-and-socket' joint where the humerus (upper arm) meets the scapula (shoulder blade).

2-5% of the population will experience Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder), most for no apparent reason.

Women and diabetics are common sufferers of Frozen Shoulder.

Circulatory Boost can greatly reduce the time it takes to move through the 3 stages of Frozen Shoulder.

Rotator cuff tears occur most frequently in men, ages 40-50, who do manual overhead work.

The most common tendon torn in the rotator cuff is the supraspinatus tendon.

A complete tear of the supraspinatus tendon will limit your ability to lift your arm at your side (abduct).

Rotator Cuff Injury Treatment

Once your medical professional has diagnosed your condition, you can begin the most effective treatment that is appropriate for your rotator cuff injury. There are a variety of options available depending on the severity of your injury.

Diagnosing your rotator cuff pain is the first step in recovery. Once you know the source of your pain you can begin the proper home treatments to heal your tissue and stop your pain.

Inflammation, one of the first symptoms of rotator cuff damage, is normally a result of overuse of an area oF the shoulder, a traumatic injury to the shoulder, rotator cuff tendonitis or bursitis, shoulder impingement or a rotator cuff tear. The preliminary treatment for most of these conditions generally starts with non-operative options.

Non-surgical Rotator Cuff Treatments

Your initial treatment should involve decreasing any swelling, relieving any pain and stress on the rotator cuff, correcting any bio-mechanical dysfunction, and then restoring strength and mobility to your injured shoulder. It's also very important to follow any instructions you receive from your physician.

Allowing your shoulder to rest is recommended following injury, however, some careful shoulder movement is required to prevent the joint from freezing and losing range of motion. See your doctor or physical therapist for stretches that will not cause further injury to your rotator cuff. Avoid activities that may have caused the injury or irritation and begin cold compression treatments as soon as possible.

Scar tissue develops as damaged rotator cuff tissue heals

The trick to dealing with a rotator cuff injury is to get your shoulder back in the best possible condition you can quickly. This means minimizing the risk of further injury, minimizing the growth of scar tissue, and keeping soft tissue in the shoulder flexible and healthy as possible. Even with optimum healing, there is always less elasticity in previously injured rotator cuff tendons, muscles and ligaments. However, if you heal your tissue properly and treat scar tissue build up, your chance of re-injury or chronic shoulder conditions later on will be much lower than average.

To quickly summarize, if your rotator cuff injury is fixable without surgery, then an optimal home based recovery from a rotator cuff injury would look something like this:

  • Immediate reduction in inflammation.
  • No further injury progression.
  • No re-injury, once healing has begun.
  • Minimal scar tissue growth in the injury area

It seems simple, but it truly is not the case as achieving a quick recovery is quite difficult and requires dedication. Let's take a deeper look into it:

Conservative Treatment Step 1: Reduce The Initial Inflammation

Inflammation is the body's natural response to an immediate shoulder injury and is a normal part of the healing process - helping to reduce tissue infection in the early stages of injury. Swelling, pain, heat sensation, redness, and loss of function are the main symptoms experienced.

A reduction in inflammation/swelling can be obtained through the application of a Cold Compress or Ice Pack and/or a steroid injection. Although steroid injections may provide temporary relief from the pain of a rotator cuff injury, frequent injections should generally be avoided as it is known that steroid injections weaken tendons and may lead to a rupture. Following a steroid injection, doctors usually recommend that you do not participate in strenuous activities for several weeks to reduce the risk of a rupture; if you do opt for an injection, make sure to take that advice seriously.

The combination of rest, topical pain relief cream and the application of a Cold Compress or Ice Pack is the gold standard in medicine for minimizing tissue damage and reducing inflammation after injury or activity. It serves as a critical bridge into the next phase of the healing process.

Conservative Treatment Step 2: Enhance Blood Flow to the Injured Soft Tissue

Tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and some muscle fibres are dense tissues. As a result, they naturally receive limited blood flow and this is precisely why injuries to these tissues take so long to heal. The challenge is, how do you effectively increase blood flow to these tissues?

  • Rigorous exercise is out of the question as it will lead to further injury.
  • Visits to the clinic are helpful, but that only happens a few times a week.

It is through the blood that the body carries nutrients and oxygen that injured tissue relies on for recovery.

Energy-heat effect-bloodflow stimulator

Conservative Treatment Step 3: Recognize That Healing is a Process

With dedication, the right tools, and the right information - you will achieve your goal of a sustainable recovery. A combination approach of cold compression, TShellz Wrap®, stretches and proper support will give you the best chance of recovering fast, fully and without ROM loss. True, effective healing will differ from person to person, but we have witnessed that best results come from those that take a comprehensive, dedicated approach.

Healing takes a comprehensive approach and will differ from person to person.

Rotator Injuries Not Only Affect the Shoulder - But Can Lead to Other Conditions and Injuries.

Every time we use our injured shoulder, damaged and swollen tendons and muscle tissue move; when they are inflamed, every movement hurts. With injured tissue, pain happens - sometimes a LOT of pain, so we try not to move it. So, when doing something we need to use our shoulder for (getting dressed, driving, talking on the phone), we start to use the elbow and wrist more. If we can, we use our other shoulder instead even though it is inconvenient.

infraspinatus-supraspinatus-subscapularis-teres-minor-pain-pattern

A couple days later (after purposefully avoiding movement of our shoulder), the pain has gone down (as well as the swelling) and this is where the trouble begins! The pain disappeared with the swelling but we still aren't fully healed! Not knowing this, we start using our shoulder normally again and then the injury swells up again like it did before - all because the injury wasn't fully healed in the first place. We continually re-injure the rotator cuff injury through our daily activities and now this injury has become a chronic shoulder injury.

Eventually, we use the other shoulder more and more - or even use our elbow instead of our shoulder for a lengthy period of time. This is why the elbow and opposite shoulder starts to hurt - they are being overused now. Soon, aches and pain can become commonplace in the upper body - all as a result of the original shoulder injury and the body's instinctive nature to "protect" the orginal rotator cuff injury - all because the injury wasn't fully healed in the first place!

We continually re-injure the rotator cuff injury through our daily activities and now this injury has become a chronic shoulder injury.

overcompensation-injury-prevention-and-rehabilitation

Muscle imbalances result, placing tension on bone and softer tissues - leading to a misalignment within the upper body. The extra stress on the opposite side of the body will also result in weakness and fatigue of the tissues - increasing the chances they can eventually be injured or gradually degenerate. This is a textbook example of how you get an overcompensation injury. In some cases, physical therapists warn that overcompensation can be very dangerous as it will affect gait or alignment on a permanent basis.

An injury to one shoulder muscle can easily lead to straining in other areas, making an overall recovery hard to initiate. For example, a serious muscle strain in the right rotator cuff can often lead to over-straining of the left rotator cuff. Most commonly, the injury occurs on the dominant side, so the risk of straining the other (weaker) side increases. The longer the injury (and corresponding pain) persists, the greater the chance that you will sustain more strain from overcompensation, eventually leading to issues in those areas as well. To minimize potential secondary injuries, know that it is important to deal with your muscle injury quickly and completely.

Truly, shoulder injuries can become a vicious cycle - which is why it is absolutely critical to focus on methods that improve and strengthen the injured tissues in a timely manner. The faster you truly heal, the less chance you have of sinking into a downward spiral of re-injury, scar tissue growth and overcompensation injuries.

Okay, So I Have a Shoulder Injury...What Should I Do Now?

Stage 1: If the Shoulder injury is very recent - use a good quality cold pack and Arnica Pain Relief Cream. If the injury has been going on for awhile, then skip to Stage 2 below.

how to use a pillow for shoulder pain sleep

If you are experiencing pain and swelling in the very early stages of the injury (first 48 to 72 hours), the first step in a conservative treatment protocol would be to focus on reducing the discomfort by applying a quality cold pack to the injured shoulder along with a high quality pain relief cream such as our Arnica Infusion Cream.

Not only will you use your cold pack for the first 48 to 72 hours after the injury, but you should also use it during other stages of the healing process. Some examples include...

  • after any activity that stresses the shoulder in a moderate way. It is wise to quickly apply cold therapy to not only reduce the pain, but to also minimize tissue damage that may have occurred during the prior event.
  • If you have a job that requires you to place some demands on your injured shoulder. If that is the case, use cold therapy immediately following work and if the opportunity allows - use it for 15 to 20 minutes during lunch or another break time.
  • If you are in a post-operative situation where cold compression would be utilized heavily for at least the first few weeks following the procedure. Similarly, if you are scheduled for upcoming surgery, then you will need a high quality cold therapy device to use.

Having a Cold Compress or Ice Pack available at home to use if and when the need arises is helpful. Many of you already do so.

However, too many people over-focus on cold therapy while ignoring the most critical aspect to healing - nourishing the injured tissues with a healthy supply of blood flow needed to repair and rebuild the injured tissues.

This leads to the most important recommendation...

Stage 2: Focus on Increasing Blood Flow To The Injured Tissue - As This is The ONLY Way It Will Heal For the Long-Term

Even though the concept is simple, improving blood flow to injured tissues can be difficult. When the injury is shoulder related, the challenges are even greater. Traditional methods require your muscle to move to promote blood flow (exercise), but that same motion that promotes blood flow can at times lead to making your pain and condition worse.

  • Have you reinjured your shoulder by returning to work too quickly?
  • How many times in the past have you aggravated your shoulder just trying to perform basic tasks around the home?
  • Is your debilitated shoulder preventing you from work or activities you love to do?

Most people we deal with tell us these scenarios have happened to them many times in the past. Perhaps it has already happened to you.

Promoting blood flow within a muscle or soft tissue injury to help the body heal itself is a concept that has been utilized for centuries. This is where the focus has to be if you are seeking long-term improvement.

Oxygen and nutrients, carried within the blood, are critical for the body to heal itself. Without proper blood flow, recovering from an injury or condition will be delayed...sometimes for a very long period of time.

The real challenge is how do you promote blood flow to the shoulder injury site without causing further injury? This goal is further complicated by the fact the shoulder (and muscles controlling the shoulder joint) are involved in the majority of the physical movements we perform each day.

The Shoulder TShellz Wrap® - A Healthy Rotator Cuff For The Long Term

how tshellz works

The Shoulder TShellz Wrap® = Localized Enhanced Circulation Response in the shoulder. Use of this device results in a dramatic increase in blood flow to the treatment area in the shoulder - all in a non-invasive manner.

Have you seen what happens when you add water to a flower wilted from drought? In essence, your injured shoulder is much like a "wilted" flower; your body wants to heal its injury, but needs lots of nutrients to do it. Blood brings new life to your tissue by delivering healing nutrients and oxygen that are vital for their survival. In addition, the blood carries away toxins and waste cleaning the area and healing it faster. Without a good supply of blood, your shoulder simply won't heal properly.

Using a TShellz Wrap® will not expose you to the risk of causing further harm to soft tissue like you can when using rigorous exercise. The Shoulder TShellz Wrap® accomplishes the goal of enhanced blood flow without the need for intensive exercise and as such reduces your risk of re-injury.

TShellz Wrap® = Accelerated Blood Flow for Your Shoulder

how tshellz energy works

Using the TShellz Wrap® is truly a unique experience. Within moments of applying a treatment to your injured shoulder, you can feel the healing sensation due to the increase in blood flow deep within the area. During a treatment, and for quite some time after you finish, the treated area will feel relaxed and less painful. It's a very soothing sensation and extremely effective.

Who Should Use the TShellz Wrap®

We recommend the use of a TShellz Wrap®:

  • If you have injured your rotator cuff or other soft tissue in your shoulder, then the Shoulder TShellz Wrap will provide the crucial function of boosting blood circulation where it is needed most.
  • If you are dealing with conditions affecting your range of motion such as shoulder impingement or even arthritis.
  • If you have a chronic achilles condition that has lasted for years- this device is intended to kick start the recovery process and help strengthen the surrounding and supporting tissues. Many of our past clients had suffered for years, then were completely amazed at the results only after a few months of treatments.
  • If you are still working with an injured shoulder, the TShellz Wrap® will help relax soft tissue in the treatment area prior to work and after a day at the job.
  • If you are still trying to enjoy your favorite activities such as gardening, tennis, golf, etc - use the TShellz Wrap® prior to activity to help reduce chances of re-injuring or re-aggravating those targeted tissues.
  • If you are suffering from bursitis in your shoulder and want to treat a major source of it (secondary damage to the muscle and tendon surrounding the bursa sac). Through overuse or degenerative changes in the shoulder, the muscle and tendons surrounding the bursa sacs will tighten and constrict. When they do, they place pressure on the bursa, causing it to become irritated. Applying a warming treatment to the shoulder relaxes the tissues and takes the pressure off the bursa.
  • If you have seen a physical therapist (PT) for some form of soft tissue treatment (stretching, massage, strengthening, etc) and they have recommended conservative treatments and/or stretches for home.
  • If you have injured your shoulder and need surgery, then you will find a blood circulation booster to be a powerful tool after surgery to help surgically repaired tissues rebuild for long-term health. (once the surgery wound has healed and your physician has given the ok)
  • If you are experiencing atrophy in your shoulder and want to reduce the chance of re-injury while stretching - we recommend a heat treatment via the Shoulder TShellz Wrap® to loosen up the joint before you stretch.

Increased Blood Circulation = Increased Healing Rate

TShellz Wraps® contain a unique Carbon Fiber Energy Pad which is flexible and will shape to conform to your body. This Energy Pad emits a uniform wave of perfectly safe energy over its entire surface. This energy is absorbed by soft tissue in the treatment area, opening blood vessels, resulting in an increase in blood flow. Blood circulation is what your body uses to heal soft tissue and this is why we recommend the Shoulder TShellz Wrap® - it is intended to boost blood circulation in the area, allowing your body to maximize its recovery capability.

What Else Makes the Shoulder TShellz Wrap® So Special?

We believe the TShellz Wrap® to be one of the most effective treatments to stimulate blood flow to dense, injured tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other similar tissues.

We can promise that you will receive a product that is designed to be safe and does what it is supposed to do...quickly relieve pain and aid in the recovery from tendon, muscle and other soft tissue injuries.

When Should I Use My TShellz Wrap During the Day?

The most common question we receive from individuals prior to purchasing is - how many times a day should I be using my shoulder wraps and when should I be using them? While treatment plans will differ for each individual and their specific injury, there are general guidelines that should be adhered to.

  • Use a Cold Compress or Ice Pack when you are experiencing inflammation (usually after exertion or movement of the injury area).

The Shoulder TShellz Wrap® would then be used:

  • Right after rising from bed in the morning (as this is when it is most stiff)
  • Prior to going to bed at night (to relax the shoulder, allowing for better sleep)
  • Before you know you will be using your injured joint (going to work, driving, typing, etc).

A Note On OverCompensation

Since you are reading this, you probably know that serious shoulder injuries do not just disappear. Over time, they usually wreak havoc on your elbow due to lack of movement and over-compensation. It will also wreak havoc on your opposite shoulder due to overcompensation. Recovery takes a longer time for such chronic (long term) injuries, but proper healing is essential to regain strength and get you back to the activities you enjoy.

The longer your injury endures, the greater the risk of running into serious overcompensation injuries.

To Stop Re-Injury & Reduce the Risk of a More Serious Overcompensation Injury, You Need to Heal Quickly & Completely!

Anyone in need of rapid recovery and complete healing must consider a comprehensive treatment plan that includes an effective means to minimize swelling and inflammation yet also stimulate healing and tissue elasticity. We have found no better set of tools that can be used at home than this:

Circulatory Boost = Increased Blood Flow in Your Shoulder

We believe the use of TShellz Wraps® for boosting blood flow to soft tissue in the shoulder is one of the most under-utilized home treatment options available on the market today. We have thousands of customers that have tried many options out there and have been amazed at how effective and fast the TShellz Wrap treatment can relieve pain and increase blood flow in the treatment area.

With regular use of the Shoulder TShellz Wrap:

  • Your pain will be reduced.
  • Due to increased blood flow, soft tissue in the shoulder will be expected to recover at an accelerated rate with reduced potential for re-injury.
  • Your corresponding shoulder will have a larger range of motion and increased extensibility of collagen tissue due to the heat effect on soft tissue. This should translate into a reduced rate of re-injury occurence as soft tissue is known to lengthen and become more flexible when exposed to warm temperature. (Chapter 9 of "Therapeutic Heat and Cold", 4th edition. (amazon.com link - Ed. Justus F. Lehmann, M.D., Williams, and Wilkin)

*Know that every personal soft tissue injury is unique and the TShellz Wrap may not work for everyone. This is why we offer a 60-day money back return on all our TShellz Wrap devices.

Scar Tissue

During the healing process and especially in surgery, scar tissue builds on the rotator cuff tissue. This scar tissue can cause the tendon and bursa to thicken, decreasing the area in the subacromial space and increasing the chance of impingement.

In addition, scar tissue can bind the tendons, muscles and ligaments together within the joint capsule and surrounding the rotator cuff. The inflexible scar tissue limits the movement of these tendons and ligaments that were once elastic and allowed the shoulder its large range of motion. As a result, movement of the entire joint is limited making it difficult to lift your arm or to reach for objects. If left untreated, the shoulder may 'freeze' (a condition called frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis) altogether making movement impossible. At the very least, scar tissue leaves your tendon weaker than a healthy tendon, leaving your rotator cuff at greater risk of further deterioration and possible tearing.

Once the inflammation of your rotator cuff injury has been reduced, nourishing and strengthening the tendon tissue and surrounding area is recommended. Using the TShellz Wrap® will speed your recovery and heal your rotator cuff more completely preparing it for strengthening exercises. Talk to your doctor or physical therapist to find out which exercises are appropriate for your situation.

Improved blood flow gained via use of the Shoulder TShellz Wrap® whisks away dead tissue and toxins that have built up from the injury. When you stop moving your arm and shoulder due to shoulder pain, your muscles and other tissue can become weaker and dead tissue and toxins in the area can cause further tissue deterioration - this can lead to atrophy. By clearing the area of toxins and increasing the amount of oxygen and nutrients to your muscle and other tissue, the risk of atrophy (muscle weakness and/or deterioration) is greatly reduced. Keeping your upper arm, shoulder and rotator cuff tissue as healthy as possible throughout the healing process will allow you to improve shoulder strength again once your pain has gone and your injury has healed.

During your recovery, you may have to modify and/or eliminate any activities that cause pain or discomfort in your rotator cuff area until your pain and inflammation settle, and you gain more mobility and strength in your shoulder. The more diligent you are with your treatment and rehabilitation, the faster you will see successful results!

Remember: We recommend that you consult your doctor and/or physiotherapist before using any of our outstanding products, to make sure they're right for you and your condition.

Physical Therapist (PT) Visits

PT is a beneficial way to help decrease pain in soft tissue, restore atrophied muscles and improve shoulder strength and mobility. The type of PT and the duration will be dependent on your injury.

conservative treatments used in conjunction with pt can greatly reduce healing time and improve rotator cuff range of motion.

Once your pain starts to diminish, a physiotherapist can set up an individualized rotator cuff strengthening and stretching exercise program for you to perform at home or in the gym. This will be based on your needs and abilities, and will help you return to performing your normal routines.

Individuals will often lift weights on their own, to try and build up their shoulder strength. However, in doing so, they can do more damage to their shoulder. It is extremely important to strengthen your muscles properly, as they may have weakened during the period of non-use. A trained therapist will help to ensure your rehabilitation process is effective. For fast and effective results, we recommend augmenting your treatments at home through use of the Shoulder TShellz Wrap® in conjunction with PT and an exercise program.

Anti-Inflammatory Medication

The use of NSAIDs can be greatly reduced with the use of a Shoulder Freezie Wrap.

NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) can be used if required to help manage your pain and inflammation. However, these aren't recommended for long term use, as they can cause gastrointestinal difficulties. Some health professionals have also recommended natural supplements such as glucosamine, MSM or hyaluronic acid to help strengthen the injured tissue.

The use of a Cold Compress or Ice Pack can greatly reduce, if not eliminate, the need for NSAIDs. Cold therapy is a natural, less harmful way to reduce your pain and inflammation.

Once the initial swelling has decreased, you can provide pain relief and improve your arm function by using an TShellz Wrap® to increase the blood flow to the area. Gentle massage around the injured area or small shoulder movements (if not painful) will also help increase blood flow, oxygen and nutrients and will prevent stiffness. To increase your comfort and prevent further damage, you may want to stabilize your arm by using a shoulder sling or brace to avoid unpredictable movements.

Surgery & Post-Surgery Recovery

Doctors and Surgeons are always improving the techniques used in surgery, and results from surgery now are much more positive than they were in the past. However, all surgeries introduce scar tissue, and recovery from shoulder surgery is often disappointing and take longer than anticipated.

If you do wind up getting surgery, know that rehabilitation at-home while attending regular PT clinic or doctor appointments is vital for your overall recovery.

shoulder T•Shellz Wrap

Consistent exercise and conservative treatment on a daily basis during your rehabilitation while working with your doctor or PT is key. This is why you should seriously consider maximizing your recovery by using the TShellz Wrap® at home once you are approved for PT.

The more consistent you work at enhancing blood flow to surgically repaired soft tissue, the more consistent the healing process will be. Nourishing the tissues will more oxygen and nutrients (which are carried through the blood stream) will give the body a better ability to produce new, healthy collagen. In effect, you will help the body produce stronger tissues while potentially reducing the number of setbacks that can occur following surgical procedures.

The Key Point To Keep in Mind When Treating Your Rotator Cuff Injury

Make Sure That Complete Healing is Your #1 Goal

shoulder T•Shellz Wrap x-ray back

We all know that if the injury was healed, the pain would go away but what about the opposite situation? If the pain is gone, does that mean the injury is better? Unfortunately, this is not always true.

Too many people only focus on suppressing pain symptoms while providing less attention to the true healing aspects of the body. Experiencing less pain, while obviously a good short-term goal, never equates to underlying healing. Scar tissue can remain for months after one gets to a point of being relatively pain-free. However, as long the weak and brittle scar tissue remains, you are susceptible to re-injury or re-aggravation. Certain motions or movements can cause the weaker tissue to easily tear - resulting in some reversal of the recovery up until that point.

This is why we recommend for people to continue with their doctor or therapist recommended exercises and to continue with mild treatments of the TShellz Wrap® for a period of time - to better ensure complete healing.

Ongoing treatments to enhance circulation will soothe, relax and promote healing of your damaged rotator cuff muscles and tendons. Shoulder T•Shellz treatments will also allow your soft tissue to extend further due to the deep warming sensation created by the enhanced circulation to the treatment area. The more extensibile your tissues are, the less likely they are to strain or sprain.

What is the success rate of the Shoulder TShellz Wraps®? Do they really work?

We try and keep in touch with a large percentage of our customers, and we encourage them to do the same. In doing so, we have received a lot of feedback as we have been in the business since 2008.

We can say that the return rate on our products is only around 5 to 10% any given month. That is exceptional by anyone's standards. Therefore, we can safely indicate that the overwhelming majority of people who purchase from us do achieve benefits with our products.

T•Shellz DTR Wrap MendMeshop

The energy from the TShellz Wrap® ultimately will gently warm the treatment area, improve blood circulation, and boost metabolism and enzyme activity. This is why it works so well - because the body responds very well to this form energy. In stimulating blood flow to the damaged tissue, you provide the tissue with the oxygen and nutrients to grow strong healthy collagen. In addition, you will experience a clearing of toxins and excess fluid build up from the injury site. Over the intermediate term, this helps to reduce incidents of swelling as trapped fluids will be whisked away - reducing pressure on vessels.

How much time do I need to dedicate for treatments? Are the products easy to use?

The TShellz Wraps® are very easy devices to use. After one or two uses, you will engage in the treatments with ease. Very detailed instructions are included and you are always welcome to contact us by phone or email if the need for help arises.

In regards to the TShellz Wrap®, it is ideal to use the device two or three times a day on average. Each treatment session is a maximum of 20 minutes in duration and the device will turn off automatically at that time. Typically, people use the TShellz Wrap® before bed, upon awakening (or not long after) and one other time during the day when the opportunity presents itself. For people in an office setting, many will use the device at work (as it can be worn over clothing). For others, they will use the device an our or two after work.

A Cold Compress or Ice Pack is primarily used following activity that stresses the injured tissues (following work, after a sports activity, or just suffering a general re-injury). This is done to reduce inflammation and to minimize tissue damage. Treatments are 15 to 20 minutes in duration.

Rotator Cuff Injury Facts:

The term "rotator cuff" refers to a group of four tendons that attach four shoulder muscles to the upper arm bone.

About 6 million people in the U.S. seek medical care each year for shoulder problems.

The shoulder joint has the widest range of motion of all joints in the body.

Rotator cuff injuries are typically associated with motions that require repeated overhead motions or forceful pulling motions. This is an injury that is very common in athletes, especially baseball pitchers, football players, weightlifters, rugby players, volleyball players, swimmers, boxers, tennis players, bowlers and cheerleaders.

AidMyRotatorCuff (a division of MendMeShop) is an FDA registered company. This means our products are of very high quality, made from biocompatible materials.

Continual repetitive use of the injured rotator cuff will lead to a worse injury.

Although the rotator cuff can tear suddenly as a result of a serious injury, most rotator cuff problems develop over time.
